Broadway star Carey Anderson coming back to the Guyer

Carey Anderson, a Hoosier native, returns home to raise money for a theater near and dear to her heart.  July, 17^th and 18^th, Carey will be doing a benefit concert for THE GUYER OPERA HOUSE in Lewisville, IN.  All proceeds will go to the theater that gave Anderson her first taste of Musical Theater.  [READ MORE....]

Calling Elementary & Middle School Kids! C.A.S.T Theatre Arts Day Camp Returns!

C.A.S.T., a ten day theatre arts day camp held at the New Castle Arts Park and Henry County Art Center, is proving to be a vital experience for children who are interested in theatre and performance.  C.A.S.T. comes off of a very successful inaugural year, teaching kids the on- and off-stage elements of theatre.

Nearly 100 seats sold at the Guyer...only a few more left!

As a fundraising effort to help pay for new theatre seats that were recently installed in the Guyer Opera House, the Board has been conducting a seat sale in which patrons pay $100 per seat, and a placard with a name or memoriam of their choosing is placed on the seat. The goal of placing placards on all 120 seats has nearly been completed! There are still over 20 seats up for grabs, and just as before, there is never a bad seat in the house.
